I tend to vote with Wharfrat on 10/31/79 (and fall 79 in general)! But if you're looking for AUDs, there are definitely some nice early 80s AUD Shakedowns.

Alligator Alley has a good AUD with a fine Shakedown > Franklin's:

Sweet show at the Greek:

A few days later, a happy high-energy show with a nice Shakedown (IMO the Greek was stronger, but what the hey, it’s not a contest) and a hopping Jack a Roe:

Shakedown opens the second set of a terrific summer-of-82 bouncefest, 8/3/82:

A muscular, energetic Shakedown at MSG on 9/20/82:

Sorry, these are mostly just Shakedowns. LOVE Jack a Roe, but don't know about AUDs. I tend to like SBDs, so don't know as many AUDs, but those are some I happen to like. Anyway, happy poking around :-)

Check out This Just In:

It's a great listen from start to finish, and Shakedown Street should do it for you. Must be the same transfer Hunter Seamons has made a matrix of, I will definitely give that matrix a play, what a show!

Here's the 12/5/79 Shakedown from the yet to be released matrix:

Shakedown MTX 12/5/79

I also recommend the 6/30/85 Shakedown.

Oh boy!!! Looking forward to it! For some reason (go figure) I tend to like matrixes of shows in the I Was There category. (Maybe I just want to weird out my kid. "So, is that crazy shrieking girl YOU?!?") Funny thing -- 6/30/85 is another one in that category. Nice picks, Hunter.

Not sure about Jack a Roe but:

Shakedown, so funky it hurts: 11-20-1978
http://www.archive.org/details/gd78-11-20.set2-sbd.unknown.12947.sbeok.shnf
Rest of show is good too, but you have to find the most patched up version, there are like 10 each with different bits and pieces.

Miracle, raw and raucos with a raunchy exit jam: 2-3-79
http://www.archive.org/details/gd79-02-03.set2-nak.clugston.7116.sbeok.shnf
Excellent, excellent 2nd set. An Aud which is not super deep but does highlight the drums and all instruments very nicely.

I'm still partial to 8-28-81 Long Beach. The mother of all Shakedowns clocking in at 16min it's a doozy.

And also this one as well:
